ROAS

Return on Ad Spend: the relationship between ad revenue and ad cost.

Also known as: Return on Ad Spend

Definition

ROAS compares conversion value with Google Ads cost. It is a core efficiency metric, but not proof of profit: margin, new-customer share and incremental impact all belong in the interpretation.

Why it matters for your shop

In ecommerce, ROAS only pays off when the metric or feature fits your assortment, margin, stock position and business model.

How we work with it

We always read ROAS alongside the neighbouring Google Ads signals and only decide once the data adds up to a consistent picture.
