Fundamentals

CTR

Click-through Rate: the share of impressions that lead to a click.

Also known as: Click-through Rate

Definition

CTR shows how often an ad is clicked after an impression. A high CTR is not automatically good if those clicks do not fit the product or landing page.

Why it matters for your shop

In ecommerce, CTR only pays off when the metric or feature fits your assortment, margin, stock position and business model.

How we work with it

We always read CTR alongside the neighbouring Google Ads signals and only decide once the data adds up to a consistent picture.
